Zero Trust Packet Routing
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Zero Trust Packet Routing (ZPR) uses security attributes and policies to control communication among resources in a virtual cloud network. The Zero Trust Packet Routing subject area helps teams review the inventory of ZPR configurations and policies across tenancies and regions. ZPR policies reside in the tenancy’s root compartment, so their compartment information identifies that root compartment. It exposes configuration status, resource lifecycle information, policy names and descriptions, and creation and update times. These details support inventory and status reviews of the ZPR resources recorded in OCI Resource Analytics.
Business Questions
The subject area can answer the following business questions:
- How many ZPR configurations and policies are recorded in each tenancy and region?
- Which tenancies have the largest recorded ZPR policy inventories?
- How are ZPR configurations distributed by ZPR status and lifecycle state?
- Which ZPR policies are in each lifecycle state?
- What names and descriptions identify the ZPR policies in each tenancy?
- Which configurations and policies were created during a selected period?
- Which configurations and policies have the most recent update times?
Logical Model
The model contains separate facts for ZPR configurations and ZPR policies. Each fact joins to its resource dimension, its Fact Details dimension, and the shared Compartment, Date, Region, and Tenancy dimensions. The two fact tables expose configuration and policy counts for their respective resource inventories.
The diagram contains one tab for each fact. Use the diagram’s page selector to view its relationships.

Metric Details
The following metrics are exposed in the presentation fact folders. Count measures count stored fact records selected by the report filters, using the fact key. They do not calculate distinct resource IDs.
| Fact Folder | Metric | Definition |
|---|---|---|
| Fact - Zero Trust Packet Routing Configuration | Zero Trust Packet Routing Configuration Count | Number of ZPR configuration records in the selected report context, calculated as COUNT of the fact key. |
| Fact - Zero Trust Packet Routing Zpr Policy | Zero Trust Packet Routing Zpr Policy Count | Number of ZPR policy records in the selected report context, calculated as COUNT of the fact key. |
