FastConnect
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure FastConnect provides dedicated, private connectivity between a data center and OCI. The Fast Connect subject area helps teams review the cross-connects, cross-connect groups, and virtual circuits that make up this connectivity. It supports resource inventory analysis by tenancy, compartment, region, and lifecycle state, with details such as port speed shape, circuit bandwidth shape, circuit type, and provider state. Teams can also examine which physical cross-connects belong to each group.
Business Questions
The subject area can answer the following business questions:
- How many cross-connects, cross-connect groups, and virtual circuits are recorded in each region and compartment?
- Which cross-connects and cross-connect groups are in each lifecycle state?
- How many cross-connects belong to each cross-connect group?
- How are cross-connects distributed across port speed shapes?
- How are virtual circuits distributed by circuit type and bandwidth shape?
- Which virtual circuits are associated with each provider service, and what provider state is recorded?
- Which virtual circuits have BFD enabled?
Logical Model
The model contains separate facts for cross-connects, cross-connect groups, and virtual circuits. Each fact joins to its resource details and the shared Compartment, Date, Region, and Tenancy dimensions. The cross-connect fact also joins to cross-connect group details, supporting analysis of group membership. Each fact has an associated Fact Details dimension.

Metric Details
The following metrics are exposed in the presentation fact folders. Count measures count stored fact records selected by the report filters, using the fact key. They do not calculate distinct resource IDs.
